Computer games may be widely considered as a negative influence on children, but there’s a new theory now that playing computer games is highly favorable for seniors. The George Mason University has conducted a study on how Alzheimer’s can be prevented by playing some brain games on a computer. This is a renewed outlook on the efficacy of a computer. ‘Nana’ Technology is the technology that can improve quality of life for older people.
This reiterates the belief that computer for seniors is an integral aspect of their mental equilibrium. Software that’s custom-made for the older adult helps them play games, email or indulge in online shopping without much fuss. What’s more important is that it keeps their mind actively engaged, and arrests the deterioration. In the words of a popular researcher involved in this study- ‘The mind is just like the body. It’s good as long as you use it, else you lose it’.
